The Canadian Political History Podcast

1867 & All That is a lively and hopefully entertaining romp through some of the main events in Canadian political history. In Season One we covered the Rebellions of 1837 and 1838 and the long fight in the 1840s over this strange but fundamental Canadian concept called 'responsible government'. We met some fascinating characters like Joseph Howe, Robert Baldwin and Louis Lafontaine and we killed off, inadvertently, a lot of Governor Generals.

Season Two (launching in autumn 2021) recounts the tumultuous road to creating a country called Canada in the 1850s and 1860s.
